I have this cap that I want to wash because its so dirty however I dont want to shrink it. Will washing it and then drying it shrink the hat? The hat is made of 97% cotton and % spandex.

Trying to shrink a customized Lids cap. Since it’s cotton, we were going to throw it in the washer/dryer, but we just want to make sure the brim isn’t made of cardboard – does anybody know? It’s the Easy fitted cotton blank Letterman hat.
